Katie is a 1/12 scale model of a Bristol Pilot Cutter, while other models are built from a variety of different plans and kits, they are all radio controlled, which includes both the rudder and sails.

J Class Moonbeam
The photos and video below show how the Moonbeam was initially rigged, this is as the plans suggest and does show its traditonal yacht heritage.
